Josh Corbett; Bass & Background Vocals

Josh Corbett was born on October 22, 1980 in Abilene, Texas. Because his father was in the military, Josh grew up in a plethora of different places including Arizona, North Dakota, and Colorado. While in Minot, North Dakota he met Joel Burns and became quick friends. After both friends moved to the Springs, Joel introduced Josh to the bass guitar and he’s been playing ever since.

After high school Josh continued to play in different bands with Joel, but nothing much ever came of them. Finally, after dropping out of college, Josh made the decision to pursue music full-time. Since then, he joined Abandonato.

Influences Include: Billy Sheehan, Tad Kinchla, Adam Clayton, Michael Anthony, John Illsley and pretty much every other bassist I’ve ever heard.

Favorite Bands and Artists: Blues Traveler, Van Halen, Steve Lukather and Toto, U2, Rush, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, Sting and the Police, Journey, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton and Cream, James Taylor, James Moody, Charlie Hunter, Norah Jones, Jaco Pastorius, and too many more to remember.

Josh Uses and Abuses: Tobias 5 String Bass, Peavey TNT 115 S Amp, and sort of whatever strings I like that month.
